72 Blazer Build
Well it my first post and I been trolling this site for quite a while just getting ideas and looking at everyones builds and all the while my blazer has been getting neglected. Well its time, I started tearing into my Blazer about 2 weeks ago since it cooled down a lot here in Yuma, Arizona its around 85 during the day now so its awesome weather now. I bought the Blazer from my friend who just got tired of dropping money on it I guess... and I had been bugging him to buy it for years. I been wanting a 72 4x4 Blazer since high school and I finally picked one up (12 years later) while I was in Afghanistan in 2012, I had my dad do the transaction with my friend. I came home to this.

Its been a while since my last post and thanks to everybody that replied. I been busy last couple weeks since Christmas is around the corner and I still got shopping to do but I got some pics of the harness I am building out of the old harness that was on the engine/trans. Lucky for me the harness was untouched, whoever tried to wire the engine and chassis using the 2002 Silverado fuse box did a horrible job. I didn't snap any pics of what it looked like before I cut everything out from under the dash….it looked like a damn rats nest to put it nicely. Anyways I am building the harness using LT1swap.com instructions and its pretty easy, not to mention I am saving some money that could go towards other things. I am trying to get my harness to look as clean as the last pic I uploaded, wish me luck.

It's been awhile and I haven't forgot about my Blazer just been busy getting married, and gathering parts against the wishes of my wife….but she knew what she was getting into so thats her fault. Anyways here is some new pics, I finished up some details on my wiring harness and took my radiator core support and radiator out to move the battery tray from the passenger to the driver side for all my wiring to look neat. I added some Delphi connectors to my harness by the pcm connections so that if I ever have to take out the engine/trans. I can just disconnect the connectors and pull everything with the harness still attached to the power train.

I also bought a Optima Redtop and this battery box to weld up to my base on the core support for a secure battery in case I feel like taking the Blazer off road….
