1972 2wd Jimmy...New project looking for advice

I just picked up a 1972 GMC Jimmy, it was a long distance purchase that is in transit on the motor carrier.
I am trying to get a game plan together! It was originally a 4x4 and I am not exactly sure how it was converted. I really am not overly concerned as we will go back over everything! The good is that the body is laser straight and was done right, the paint is gorgeous, all the glass is installed and the body is back on the frame.....other than that... no motor, no tranny, no column, no bumpers! I am actually happy about that as we would change everything anyway!
My Questions.....
I am leaning towards air ride to put the frame on the ground, but I defiantly want it RIGHT! Its my understanding that front half are ready and available, back half are a not as easily accommodated, Fab work isn't really an issue, but where I am second guessing doing a front/back half is...well to be honest by the time we buy all that, good brakes all the way around, air ride, plum it all, fab it all, powder coat it etc, rear end mods, narrow it for wide wheels would I just be able to go to No Limit Engineering and buy a 12-16k frame complete with all the above?
My goals....
Ride is number 1, we really want it to ride great, its not going to be raced but having fun on the mountain back roads is always a plus!
LS engine, 4L80E tranny, A/C, power windows, Etc
It there a better way that just buying a frame?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

From a timing perspective - Nobody today makes a ready to use 2wd chassis yet. No Limit did recently get my old 1970 2wd Blazer chassis to start working on making one possible. The guy who bought it from me - dropped it off to them. I have no idea on timeline for them to even have a mock up available.

If you are looking to get it done this season and start cruising - there are no vendors that would have what you need today so fabbing one up is your only bet. I may be wrong though as things always change in this space.

Good luck with your purchase - got any pix to share of the new truck?

We are actually driving to No Limit tomorrow to discuss this with Rob, they are only 1-1/2 hours away! I appreciate the info, I was under the impression they had something that would work under the 72.

So we rode down to No Limit yesterday, Rob is a STAND UP guy! The frames he were working on were absolutely amazing! He spent a fair amount of time with us, showing products and talking about options!
At the end of the day I would love to do business with him, I want to do business with him but those chassis are really in my humble opinion are a full competition autocross masterpiece....isn't that a bit of overkill for someone who wants to ride their wife and boxer dog across the parkway?
On a positive note for someone looking for a high end Blazer/Jimmy chassis Rob has the measurements, he can do it and probably in 12 +/- weeks.
I actually feel bad about going down there and taking up his time just to not buy a chassis, so I think I may give him a call today entertain using his front end and some other parts!
I did decide against air ride, I think I will stick with the static drop and nice coil overs!

If you are going to take your wife and dog for rides, no need to spend the money on after market chassis parts....use moog replacement parts and keep it stock....

Thanks.... I noticed that also, we had it on the lift Saturday, and cannot find an ounce of rust, even the floorpans are immaculate ...... all the seams have the factory tape over the seam sealer...

I have a set of 20x12 & 20x8.5 racelines ordered, a 6.0 LQ4 and 4L80E, some billet marker lights and tail lights, we are going to rework the top, put the trim back on, static lower it and do a really nice interior! I'm really excited, Ive been looking for a long time!
