I mean no offense to anyone here, but I have to ask... Why lower it???? It is so perfect just the way it is. I know that A LOT of you like to lower these trucks, but especially on one like this that other than outside patina (which I really love) it is exactly like it was the day it was new. Again, I don't mean to start a war or offend anyone, but if it were me, I'd leave it like it is and just maybe give it a bath.

No offense taken Brian. That's a valid question and, you'll find you're in with a
pretty easy going crowd here.

Besides aesthetics, one very good reason is that lowering the truck will lower its
center of gravity. That makes it handle and respond better. It's also easier to
get in and out of. Plus, many of us enjoy the ride a mildly lowered truck provides.

I'm one of those folks that loves Patina and respects heritage but I've always
tried to do hidden or nearly-hidden upgrades for comfort, handling and safety
(disc brakes, better shocks, etc).

I am very fond of stock original looking trucks too I even have grown to like the patina my son has a patina 68 and he would hit me if I went towards it with a paint gun LOL but after having drove my 67 7 years without lowering it and now recently lowered it with some cool parts sway bars lowered shocks springs and such it drives handels and looks SOOO MUCH BETTER !!!!!!!!!!
I like stock but I have to say a 67 to 72 lowered is cool too ,,

This one is going to be very simple bare bones truck. Just lowered and polished up.

Oh no offense takin besides improving the driving characteristics night and day. The truck looks way better without such a huge gap above the tires in my opinion.

When a truck is lowered correctly it makes them 100 times more enjoyable to drive.
