What tires

I am about to replace my burbs tires. I am looking at bfg km2 or Mickey Thompson Mtz. They are about the same price. I like the km2 but I also like the Mtz. Anyone have Mtz on there truck? How do they do on road and off. Thanks.

Re: What tires

I ran a set of the Mickey's on my Titan (315/75R17). They were good tires, lasted about 40,000 miles, but were bold when I replaced them. I replaced them with Dick Cepek Mud Countries (35/12.5R17) after hours of searching reviews. These tires are better than the the Mickey's. The KM2's do not have that much sipping, so be careful on wet pavement or icy roads if you get them.

Re: What tires

I had 35" MTZ's on my Jeep for a while. They were a great tire. Air those babies down and they would crawl up anything. The sidebiter sidewalls were great offroad. They wore really quick on road though so that is definetly something to consider on a multi-purpose truck. Of course I have 36" TSL's on my Blazer currently and they wear 3x as quick as the MTZ's

BFGs hands down. Driven to Alaska and back in the winter without a hiccup with 285/75R16s all terrains. E load rating will get you 50k as long as you stay on top of rotations.

Re: What tires

I do not have any experience with the mtz, but I have a set of the km2s on my 85. Very good tire in my opinion.
