Correct flywheel for 5.7 vortec?

Planning on doing a 5.7 vortec swap in my 72 C20. Has a SM465. Will this flywheel work? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/n...stionsanswers/

That is the correct flywheel for an L31 Vortec motor. Smaller bolt pattern with counterweight for the one piece main seal crankshaft.

Re: Correct flywheel for 5.7 vortec?

Summit has this as a warning "Performance and SFI-approved flywheels must be used with performance clutch discs only. Use of a stock-style clutch disk with a performance flywheel will often result in insufficient operating clearance between the disc hub and flywheel bolts." Does this affect what kind of clutch I can use with this flywheel?

I've not seen that sort of language used before when talking clutch and flywheel clearance. But performance type clutches aren't much more expensive that stock ones. Or just run a performance disc with an OEM pressure plate.
