Complete front crossmember and suspension unbolts from early 50 chevy cars, can be
mounted to truck frame fairly easily. Same as corvette thru about 1960. Lowers truck several inches and gives you 5 lug brakes. Not common today but was done years ago. Perhaps this is where people got the idea the car spindles work. |

In the 70/80's that was a hot ticket not everyone knew that the standard passenger car and corvette were the same I think until 62. So you could get a Corvette front suspension and everyone went "wow" Just like Corvette valve covers made every SBC a 365 horse fuelie block.

I have joked that the front end I bought was from a 50 Chevy sedan, but NOW it's a "Corvette" front end.

A question along the same lines. I have a 3600, I want to buy a disc brake comversion kit, will the 1/2 kit work without having to change out the spindles? The 3/4 kit comes with 8 lug.
Another question, my plan is to use the back suspension system off of a 2002 4wd blazer. I plan to use the leafs, axles and shackles to connect the leafs. Has anyone tried it, will it work? |

I have 47 chevy 3600, i want to convert the front to disc brakes. Will the 1/2 ton conversion kit fit on the spindle of the 3600? I want it to 6 lug so when i change out the rear rear end, all 4 wheels will be the same style and size.
