Completely Different Truck!!!

Well, my tranny went out last wednesday. Fried it. My engine was sucking tranny fluid up to the intake manifold, and it ran low on fluid and ruined it. While the shop I work at was replacing it, they threw in a NP205 T-case (I had a full time 203 previously), new drivelines, and Spicer hubs. So with all of that, including the transmission, was 633$ so now I can put it in 2wd!! I'm excited. The 55mph vibration is completely non-existant now. Way better gas mileage, and it steers so much nicer.

Even though all of it came out of a wrecking yard, 633 bucks isn't too bad, huh?

Re: Completely Different Truck!!!

$633 ain't a bad deal at all. It sounds like you got a lot for just a little bit of green.

Re: Completely Different Truck!!!

I really like working on my own stuff, but I just don't have the tools or the time right now. If it happens again in the future I'm going to attempt it myself.
