1973 C2500 GMC rebuild / complete stock or?

So thought I'd ask the gurus...

Rebuilding this 1973 GMC C2500 pickup and was wondering what you all thought. I like the stock dash gauges for the original look but are hard to find (at least for me). The dash is in decent shape, none of the gauges work except the oil gauge and speedo.
Would it be a crime to upgrade?
Looking around have seen LED gauges and others.

Suggestions anyone?

thanks,

I don't think it would be a crime because it is your truck. Just do your conscience. That being said, there are enough of these trucks around, it would probably be cheaper and easier to find stock gauges.
