Fitting carpets to bed of blazer.

Question 1. Roll bar OVER carpets as opposed to cutting the carpet to go round the bases of the roll bar?

Question 2. Do I cover the wheel wells first then put the bed carpet down then the sidewalls (which may be vinyl or may be carpet- not decided yet). ORRRR. Is it bed carpet then wheel wells??

I can only help with #2. I put the wheel well carpet on first and then the bed carpet down second.

Roll bar going on top then and wheel well carpetting going on first. They are not shaped particularly well if the truth be known so I'm guessing i'll have to stretch some bits and try to shrink others - hopefully I'll be able to ensure that any wrinkly crappy bits (which i fully expect to be present) behind the side boards.

Re: Fitting carpets to bed of blazer.

My pics are including the new ACC carpet as a reference. One thing on the wheel wells, I for some reason, kept trying to install upside down (rotated 180 degrees). Try both sides and rotate them to be sure you have the correct one on the correct wheel well. I didn't do any trimming. Not perfect, but acceptable.

Re: Fitting carpets to bed of blazer.

Thank you - mine is ACC also. When you say 'upside down', did the edge of the wheel well at the BOTTOM have the trim on the edge and basically is there any difference between left and right? ie does one fit better on one side than the other due to any assymmetry of the wheel wells?

Re: Fitting carpets to bed of blazer.

I don't recall. I'd just try them both in several different positions and see what looks best. You can see the wheel well carpet falls under the bed carpet. I don't remember if I trimmed anything but I don't think so.
