Red face Re: where are all the 60-66 stepsides

Guess it's about time I show what I started with, small back glass et al; while being painted; a shot of the comfy interior; a shot of it finished--big back glass installed; and one final shot of left side and repositioned fill lid

I'm curious, after it was rolled, did you have to replace the cab and door or was the damage repaired?

Re: where are all the 60-66 stepsides

I had to replace the cab and doors and hood. I bought new GM front fenders and new takeoff rear fenders, someone put tool boxes on the side of their bed.And GM rocker panels as well.

thanks man, yeah the wheels are from my pops 72 Grand Prix, he has it parked and didnt want they tires to go to waste, and since I needed tires, I figured, why not? lol

I had rally wheels on there before that, 10" wide in the back and 8" in the front, these pontiac wheels are too skinny, if not careful and I get on it, I can lose control

Frankenstein!!!!

I would love to find some huge bolts and put them on the sides of the cab, ala Frankenstein

You just made my boy (age 4) practically fall out of the chair. "Daddy, it's the HULK!!!" he screamed. LOL!

You could go with steel bridge rivets for the side bolts though. They're really huge and would stand out properly.

lol, HULK, that would be a cool truck too, Mean Green

See my dad gave me the truck, his name is Frank, and since the truck has all these diff parts, like Frankenstein, that is why I named it that.

I am kinda thinking of these botls

Re: where are all the 60-66 stepsides

Cool story. The family history makes that truck priceless!

For your bolts - I guess these rivets are too big?
XD

If you went with something 4-5 inches in diameter you could use them as a hand-hold for getting in the truck and they'd stand out quite a bit, but smaller like those 2 inchers would be less likely to catch you in the cap as you're walking by in the garage.

Either way it'll be a great addition. I'd like to see pics once it's done.
