pop in the motor

i have a smb chevy 350, when i let my truck sit and itle once in a while it will give a pop. i also noticed that at my #1 cylinder the paint on my headers isnt coming off like the rest of them are, so what im thinking is that there is a valve sticking.

id love to know what you guys think and what i should do.

thanks a bunch

Re: pop in the motor

I would suspect a bad spark plug, wire, or dist. cap.
