Just about wrapped it up

Got this truck about 2 years ago. Was straight, no rust or dents, but looked rough. Here is a before and after - I clear coated the original paint and buffed it out.

Repaired and recolored interior panels.

Repainted the Bed to match the interior

And now (recently) Santa brought me some goodies, so I was able to redo the interior. Mostly a budget project. New Cheyenne Dash pad. New ACC Vinyl Flooring.

New Stereo

And new RuffTuff cordura seat cover.

I am happy! And also glad to be D-O-N-E!

That's rad. Can hardly believe the original paint+some clear coat turned out so clean!

The Clearcoat I used is called Vivilon, and is designed to bring back the original paint. It really did bring back the original color, but it also came out like lumpy bedliner when I sprayed it - it was a bit of a nightmare. It was my MANY hours of hand sanding and buffing that made it look good. If anyone asked me if I'd do it again, probably NOT.

Pretty cool. I'll have to look into that when I start thinking about refinishing the exterior on mine. Your username finally makes sense by the way.

I bet you could look at it in a number of ways if you didn't know...

Re: Just about wrapped it up

Thank you! At this point I think I am SICK of working on it! But, it looks like I get to change the accelerator cable this weekend. It never ends!
