Re: electric fan users, what temp ?

Get a controller from DC Controls. It reads off the cold side of the radiator. You set it so the fans come on when your engine temp gets slightly over normal operating temp (meaning that the radiator needs cooling). It does an excellent job of keeping the engine temp constant. These other controllers that go off engine temp give you a 15 degree swing in engine temp. I'm just not a fan of watching my engine swing between 185-200 all day.

Re: electric fan users, what temp ?

Not on my truck but on another car I brazed a nut (18 X 1 1/2?) on a piece of muffler pipe to go in the lower rad hose. I got a short Honda sensor to go in it and it sits flush with the nut and could still slide in the lower hose spring thing. Worked great except that the Audi pusher fan makes a lot of noise so put a small driven fan back on and the electric rarely comes on anymore.
