Why Did I get This Message

Every once in awhile when I try to open a thread I have been posting on this message pops up. Does anyone know why ?

Re: Why Did I get This Message

9 of ten times its a slow internet or server error but sometimes a thread has been moved to an area where only staff can get into it

Re: Why Did I get This Message

I guess with the post being moved it won't bump on the main page so I guess i"ll never find out the real reason this is happening. Server error or slow server doesn't make sense to me.

The forum acts weird once in awhile and then clears up. Mods stay on top of clearing things really well. PM them if you have problems and they will figure it out.

Who said technology is supposed to make sense? I've been selling technology for almost 20 years and the most common answer from the people who are supposed to know these things is "I don't know."

I agree with Bob. More often than not, it's going to be a temporary glitch (server error) or a thread has been moved.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=93

really cool area that has answers to stuff like, why do i get an error when posting pictures.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=34

another really cool area of the site, where questions like this can be asked and it emails Josh and myself directly so that we do not miss it.

Already gone, you are correct... slow server, and such is not the answer. When you click something and get that error it means exactly what it says. You clicked on a post or bookmark that has changed, therefor you do not have the permissions to see it.

Two common reasons this may happen
1. A thread is moved to an admin area for review, but the person moving said thread left a redirect by mistake (typically out of habit)
2. A FAQ was reworked, and to do so was moved to a non public work area. A new improved version typically will be in the FAQ area in its place. This is not as common as 1, but does happen when folks host pictures offsite and we end up with a FAQ full of red x's.

May I ask where this thread was originally posted that cause it to be moved?

Thanks for answering Liz and the the message was posted on the main 67-72 Message Board and was titled"any RCMP around " and I believe it started a while ago but came back to life around January 6th. It started because Someone wanted to know if the RCMP ever used any purple trucks..

Thanks. Maybe put it on the main page so if someone else sees that message in the future they'll know what it means.
