Plastic bedside!

Does anyone have any tips on removing the plastic bedside (stepside) on an 2003 silverado? Any help would be great!

Re: Plastic bedside!

they are bolted along the perimeter, and hinge into a track under the molding on top. If you use a ratcheting wrench, you don't need to slide the bed back to get the front bolts out. The upper molding is held down by plastic tabs (and double sided tape, IIRC). The bed caps are prone to flaring out with age, and if you use too much force getting them off, plan on replacing it as well.
