Rough Country 6"w/ 37s???

I've made my mind up on the RC 6" lift for my 84 swb all springs. I'm going to order the sway bar drop and transfer drop. Should I order the drag link as well? Also, the kit claims you can run 37s! I'm up for SOME trimming, but not hacking my fender. Does anyone have any input?

P.s. Can I get away with my stock ds lengths with the transfer case drop bracket?????

Don't need transfer drop or sway bar drop.

My K20 is on a Rough Country 6". Used the supplied steering arm. Still using stock driveshafts from the SM465/NP205 donor truck. You are going to cut for 37"s.

I've heard on a long bed like yours the rear ds is fine. Heard that for sb it needs to be lengthened. Not going to be doing any hardcore wheeling tho

Re: Rough Country 6"w/ 37s???

I'm not sure about a SWB 73-87,but I've done 6" lift on a '72 LWB and had to go 2" longer on rear driveshaft. On my '85 Jimmy,I did a 4" lift and installed a 14-bolt. The driveshaft came out just right. So,if I still had the 12-bolt the driveshaft would have been too short. It has 315/75-16s on 10" wheels and it clears the tires except when twisted a bit w/wheels cut hard. I could trim a minimal amount behind the tire and it wouldn't rub. This is with Tuff Country EZ-Rides which flex more than the Rough Countries. I ran 13/37 Super Swampers mounted on 8 x 15s on a '71 Blazer with 7" lift. The springs were Ranchos (early-80s) and no problems with rubbing. I wheeled it hard.

You can probly run 38s cause a RC spring will not move, they have the highest spring rate of any spring man. out there. I'd opt for Tuff Ccounty or put 52s up front.
