AC on 5.7 in 70 C10- Kwik? Holley? Sanden? HIGH mount

Like the title says I'm looking for info on any high mount AC brackets. It's been determined that I can NOT use the low mount. I've looked at all the above just would like to hear from someone who used the product. I like the Kwik but hear it likes to jump belts. Anybody??
Thanks
Steve

I would look into the dirty dingo high mount. It looks to be a quality piece with a heavy duty tensioner.

ICT Billet has various options for AC mounts and I have found them much more affordable than some other mfr's

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that's a 5.7 you have pictured?? At least it doesn't look like mine. It's out of a 2002 Firebird

That's a Vortec truck engine, it's a Gen1 small block. Those accessories won't bolt to an LS.

Re: AC on 5.7 in 70 C10- Kwik? Holley? Sanden? HIGH mount

I just installed the Holley this evening. Worked well. I am running the corvette style accessory drive and obviously can't run the AC low.

I like the looks. It matches the rest of the GM natural aluminum.

Re: AC on 5.7 in 70 C10- Kwik? Holley? Sanden? HIGH mount

I used a set from LS brackets http://lsbrackets.com/ on my wife's truck. It is a 1987 R10 with '04 GTO LS1. I wanted to be able to use factory a/c lines, which are for a 89-91 suburban and worked perfect. I know the R4 is not a desirable compressor, but it was cheap and works fine.

Re: AC on 5.7 in 70 C10- Kwik? Holley? Sanden? HIGH mount

I know you expressed Highmount only but something you should think about is a company called Allen Grove components has a passenger-side AC bracket designed for The stock low mount position with a sandon compressor that moves the compressor 3 inches closer to the block. I'm doing an LS swap on my '67 C 10 in the next couple weeks and I'm going to mock up mine and see if this will work. The bracket kit is reasonably priced at $175 complete using the original AC pulley on my truck engine.

I am currently running this setup on my 72. I've had no clearance issues at all. A little creativity with the lines and all works well with no cutting on the frame.

Thanks for the heads up on that, really save some time for me. I'll just pick up the Allen Grove set up and roll with it on my 67.
