QUADRAJET Question?

Can anyone tell me what the linkage and flat piece with the rubber cap that's attached to the accelerator pump is for? Mine is kinda bent and doesn't really do anything as far as open or close

Re: QUADRAJET Question?

That is an idle air vent. The little rod should open it when the throttle returns to idle & it should close when the throttle is off idle. It ventilates the fuel bowl.

Thank you, how important is it? Mine must have the rod bent or something, I ran it to wide open down to closed and it didnt do anything.

Re: QUADRAJET Question?

A little bend & adjust that rod should make it work. I believe it would be better open all the time rather than closed. I think the spring in the metal keeps it open till the rod pushes it closed.
