Question Questions about using adjustable proprtioning valve.

I have just converted my truck to power disc brakes. 1967 C10.
I have replaced the old proportioning value with a Wilwood adjustable one.

I am curious, took a wire off the old proportioning valve. Thinking this must be a low pressure valve. Not sure if I should try and buy some kind of a replacement. Figured I had better ask before I finish with the brake lines.

Has anyone replaced stock prop valve for and adjustable and found a solution for this ?

Any suggestions ?

Thanks much!!

I think you have it almost right. Your wire off the old valve is for a brake warning light. Unless you specified to have this in the Wildwood valve - they didn't make provision for it. Chances are you would never see the warning come on from the original valve anyway. These were installed as "idiot light" devices for little old ladies who don't know how to check the master cylinder to see if the fluid is where it is supposed to be. Matter of fact, they probably don't even know what a master cylinder is! LOL

I have been calling around, looks like no one sells the value that would shut the low pressure light off, if they did have to wire into both fron and rear lines, so I think I will remove the light from the back of the dash.

Thanks to call that have replied to this.
