Convince Me To Ditch the '94 For an '01

I've had a couple of trucks over the years with a 6.0, and dad currently has two. I have a '94 reg. cab K2500 with a 350 right now as my every day pickup (I farm.). It pulls occasionally and does ok, but I'm thinking if I'm going to keep pulling it, I'm going to need some airbag helpers. The 350 only has around 90,000 miles on it, but everything else is close to 225,000. I found an '01 GMC 2500HD ext. cab shortbox with 125,000 miles for quite a bit below book. I'm going to go look at it this afternoon.

I know from experience the newer truck will ride better and pull better, but I really like my '94. I would really like an extended cab and a 6.0, though. I have an '87 I'm selling this weekend, and if I sold the '94, it'd end up about a wash if I bought the '01.

I can't convince myself. I know it's pretty much a no brainer, so I don't know what my deal is. Convince me. Or convince me not to. I'm about to lose my mind dwelling on it.

I really like my 01 2500 HD with 6.0 (had three) but they need a custom tune and synthetic fluids everywhere to be somewhat efficient. Don't use a handheld programmer. expect 13 empty hwy (without tune, CAI, new plugs, synthetic). I like towing with mine, sure handles trailers well with the one ton frame and still rides nice with the IFS and long wheelbase. Mines a crew cab 6.5 box and I will never go back to an extended cab unless I need an 8 foot bed. The 6.0's will run a long long time, may be a little noisy at startup (piston slap) in cold weather but that has never been shown to actaully be harmful.
