Engraved on top of my A/C accumulator "F12"

This may be a dumb question but id like to know what it means. In my '84 K10 someone has engraved "F12 - #2.2" on top of my A/C accumulator. Does anyone know what this means? It looks like it was done by hand with one of those electric engraving/etching tools.

It likely says R12 2.2lbs. Showing the amount of freon the system takes.

I was thinking R12 also, but it clearly says F12. Maybe they just made a mistake??
