I'm going for fat or big tire look on the rear of my "67 small window.

Trying to determine the widest wheel / tire combo. Thoughts?

It all depends on what you have in the front. 275/60 15 rear are nice with 255/60 15 on front.

I haven't decided on the front yet.

A friend has old school drag style skinny tires on the front of his truck with 33s on the rear.

I have 31x11.50 rear and 31x10.50 front

I want to go 275/60 in the front and move the 31x10.50 to the rear, but then the fronts are wider than the rears.

I went with 275/60r15 and 15x10 rims all the way around. This size would be good for the back and pizza cutters up front for an old school gasser look. Doing some real heavy body work right now, so work in progress, but you get the idea...

I have 275 60 18 on 18 x 9.5 rims on the rear and they fill up the wheel wells with a 4" drop. I doubt I could get anything larger in there.

I had a pair of 295 50 15' s on my Burban. They are wider that the 275 60's by about an inch. You can also get 315 60 15's from Mickey Thompson which are about 1 3/4" wider than the 275's. I used to run 305 60 15's on my GTO back in the day but I don't think they are available any more. I now run 275 60's on the Burban as I like the look of a taller tire of the same aspect ratio as the front. (Fronts are 245/60/15). The 295's are easy to get to fit. 315's will mean some careful measuring of back spacing. And an adjustable panhard bar if your lowered.
