Lowering my sled questions.

I'm thinking of lowering my 05 GMC CC. I'll probably go mild like 2/4 or 3/4. I haven't been able to come up with an answer yet on this. Will I need to c-notch for a mild rear drop? At what point is a c-notch required?

Also, who makes the best lowering components?

Re: Lowering my sled questions.

I think anything 4" or less you can run without a C notch.

Re: Lowering my sled questions.

I have a 2002 sierra 4 inches in the front and 5 in the rear no notch but the axle hit my left pipe on the left exhaust. No duals now bummer.

Re: Lowering my sled questions.

Anything lower than 4" will require a C-notch. Although I would recommend skipping the 2/4 and going straight to 5/6" rear drop as the 4" drop is extremely stiff. I did the full flip kit on mine and am now 4/6 and it rides better than it did at stock height.

Re: Lowering my sled questions.

Anybody have a kit for the C notch, does the bed have to be removed on a 03?

I'd get the Mcgaughy bolt on kit, the DJM kits have a reputation to crack. If you have access to a rack you can get away with cutting it without removing the bed.
