64 K20 just showed up !

I had started a thread in the 60-66 area. But thought it should be here. Bought this a month or so ago and it finally made home.
Original 1964 K20. Drivetrain has been all gone through and either rebuilt or replaced. New crate 454, newer refurbished Dana 60 and 14 bolt with 3.73 gearing. Original trans and transfer case etc.

How do I read that paint code ? I'm fairly sure it was originally orange but want to confirm.

I believe your paint code is GM 516, Omaha Orange.

Dunno but I think I need something that nice to "show up" here!

Nice truck! Looks super straight and sounds like its good hardware under it!

Looks like you have a fairly nice space to wrench on it too. Jealous!

A couple quick clicks of the mouse before you have time to think about it!!

I am pretty excited about it, body is pretty straight and not to much rust. Do have a big shop, but it's more for our farm and usually full of equipment. My employees get mad at me when my toys are in there ! Lol

Re: 64 K20 just showed up !

It looks to me like the PO was close to being done with it, but ran out of money or time. That appears to be in really nice shape and has most of the mechanical part done. Throw some body and paint at it and it will be incredible!

Congratulations!

I think it is great!

Have some original west coast mirrors from a '68 to put on also.

Whats not right about them? Balance?

Radials or bias? I ran a set of bias plys on a '76 CCLB K30 Dually years ago. Was a little disappointed with trying to get them heated up enough to get rid of flat spots.

Re: 64 K20 just showed up !

Those tall skinnies on a heavy truck can feel squirrelly. So this is on an original chassis or is it a square body chassis with original transmission/transfer case/driveshaft arrangement? I ask because t looks like the cab is raised and the frame is longer in front.
