day 3 finished cleaning the frame rails and made templates for them

used the template to mark holes then test fit

test fit is perfect all measurements are within 1/32 of an inch. tomorrow i will raise the frame back up and drill the holes clean the crossmember and bolt it in (before anybody asks about the milk crates they are only there to prevent the crossmember from rolling over they are not supporting any weight)

day 4: i did not get a whole lot done today (had to work late). by the time i got home i only had about an hour of daylight left so i drilled a few holes and test fit a few of the brackets. hopefully i won't have to work so late this weekend.

Ok maybe you posted this and I missed it, but what are you going to end up with? Is the truck going to be 4wd and the Blazer a 2wd? Is there a reason for all this work? I know there must be a method to your madness so bring us up to date on what your doing....

yes, the truck will be 4wd and the blazer a 2wd, the truck is pretty rough and will make a nice toy....the blazer is pretty decent and will make a nice daily driver. i really wanted a 2wd blazer and i could not find one this nice for the price (i got both of these trucks for less than half of what the blazer booked out at). the blazer will soon take over daily driver duty so i can finally get my 68' to the body shop. and the truck, i have already someone interested in taking it off my hands when i get it rolling.

did i leave anything out.

Nope, I think that covers it. I assumed it was something like that but I wasn't sure. Keep the progress reports and pics coming....

day 11: finally got the front end mounted in the blazer

i still gotta do the shocks, steering, brake lines, swap the front crossmember so the 4wd can have its sway bar, and mount the 2wd sway bar.
but they both look alot different
