Throttle Cable?

What are you running on your truck for a throttle cable/linkage. Mine has some rigged up toilet chain/cable junk that sticks.... I bought a Lokar cable, but it looks like I will have to change the gas pedal assembly out to make it work.
thanks,
CJ

Re: Throttle Cable?

Is it the stock pedal and linkage? Just missing the rod from the pedal to the carb? Mine had a brazing welding rod stuck in between them. I couldn't find anything so i made one. I just went to the hardware store and bought a small non threaded dow rod and used a dye to thread and bend it to the angles i needed. I also used a threaded coupler between them to adjust the slack. Works well. Ignore the rigging on the transmission detent cable had to use those to take out some slack.

Re: Throttle Cable?

I have the Lokar cable and the Eliminater pedal. I really don't care for it, it seemed the stock set up worked better. Anyway, thats just my 2 cents.
