Any campers here? - Check out the RV Rover!

It is a portable/collapsible/fold-up 4 seater golf cart. The machine shop I work for makes a lot of the parts for these. I got to ride one recently, and it was a blast. They are marketing them for campers, tailgaters, and racing fans that would like to take a golf cart with them, but can't (or don't want to) pull a trailer. I thought at first the 3 wheel set up might be tippy, but it was extremely stable and very smooth and quiet. They are definitely different, and very sharp looking. They have a video on their website that shows it be disassembled/reassembled.

That thing is cool. I was thinking that would be excellent to use for Speed Week at the Salt Flats...until I saw the price.

I think it`s cool. But,I also think people are hanging way to much off of 2" recievers these days.I hope they have a full understanding of the principles of metal fatigue.I also think it`s pushing the envelope on extension beyond bumpers and lights.
I`ve hauled Aluminum and vinyl siding in 12'-13' boxes in the back of pickups for years.People have a problem with depth perception when there are two focal points behind a vehicle.People tend to over shoot their braking.

Re: Any campers here? - Check out the RV Rover!

It actually steers well from the "driver's side". The front end geometry must be perfect because it steers easy (even one-handed) and the turning radius is pretty tight. The gas model only weighs 320# and the electric is only 365# according to the brochure, so its not a lot of weight for a 2" reciever. My wife and I have been thinking about getting one. The price of it is WAY cheaper than new EZGO or Yamaha golf cart and a trailer to pull it on.
