It looks like more of a real old workhorse that has stories to tell than a "rat rod". It's a bit of a disservice to call it a rat rod anything.

I agree. These were commin when I was a kid. Seems like all the gm dealerships had one. Their were no 1 ton small two trucks when i was a kid

that same truck was on ebay a month or two ago. It's been removed by ebay now. I think it was in KY last time if I remember right?

If I remember right it was a Mitsubishi chassis and 4 cylinder diesel set up. The guy selling it built the truck.

the jap axles would have been 5 in the front and ten in the rear, it looks like it has the originals...

it also looks like it has the original 2p wheels of death.

the detroit 471 was around that time frame, and yes, 23mpg is very possible if not on the low side.
