Dash Speakers

Has anyone put in 4" speakers in their dash? I think I can fit them in if I screw them directly to the dash, or do they need to mount to those stock metal stands?

Re: Dash Speakers

I think 3.5's came stock. You might be able to fit a 4" in each corner. I know for sure the center was a 4x10.

I have tweeters mounted up in the dash.

Re: Dash Speakers

I got the 4" speakers installed today. I had to drill a few new holes but they fit no problem. These were on sale at bestbuy and mine were toast. I have been checking out some of your guys boxes and I hope to build one for storage and to house a pair of 6x9 to help out with some base.

Re: Dash Speakers

Just picked up (4) 4" Infinity's for $ 5 bucks (yes $ 5 bucks for all four speakers). Going to put (2) in the dash in the stock locations and (2) in the door in place of the the (2) 4x6 locations I pulled from an 80' Suburban. I was wondering if the 4" would fit in place of the 3.5".............good looking out

Re: Dash Speakers

do you think you can mount 2 4 inch speakers opposed to buying a 4x10 for the center speaker?

You sure can. I'm using this (upper right of pic)for my center channel speaker in my Burb with it's 5.1channel surround sound system.
