60 Steering column diagram - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey guys, does anyone have a diagram for a 60 GMC manual steering column? Looking to rebuild one and want to see how things are supposed to be setup.

This thing is so different from any I have ever seen. It has a cable that appears to operate the turn signals. It runs from the top of the column to the switch that is located near the firewall. I think there was supposed to be a bearing in the top but it must have been long gone. Surprisingly it shifts fine in all gears with a little slop though. None of the diagrams on the LMC's site show any columns 55-72 that have turn signals with this setup. Any ideas what I have here?

Have you gotten an assembly manual? it is vaguely in there.

I just picked this truck up and have not purchased one yet. I have about every other assembly manual from 55-87 but this column I guess it specific to 60-62. I plan to pick one up in Daytona in a couple weeks but need to get this done before then.

Still not working for me. I tried on IE7 and IE9, Firefox 3.6 and Safari 5.0.3. None show the image. I don't have IE 8 on any of my computers. Is this hosted on MS Live? I don't have access to that site.

check to see if you have Java installed, or just download and install the latest.

Ok....
I have tried on Chrome, Opera, FireFox, and IE and it showed up.
I had the edit permissions on my Windows Live Photo sharing set to Me.
Just switched it to Everyone (public).
That was my faught. That's why they were broken links.
I'll take the smack in the face for this one.
