New to forum : 1964 Chevy C30 car hauler
Hello, name is pat, new to the forums, I just acquired a 1964 Chevy C30car hauler, has a 327 engine with 4 speed, cruise and 34000 miles on the clock, came from California, used very little, one fender was replaced and that's about all I can notice...AM FM CB stereo, rest is all original, down to the drum brakes which I have some swap questions soon, will read what is here first...thx
   Been playing around with some Alcoa rims and finally today got the studs to make them fit...

yes I too must admit it is a very clean truck for the year, I crawled under it and every panel edge is nice and crisp...even found 80% of the original build sheet behind seat...I thought was amazing. It is a stationary deck with huge heavy alloy ramps... |

welcome aboard! cool truck...my dad used to have a '65 1-ton that transitioned from flat bed, to wrecker bed, to eventually car hauler....i wish we still had it....good luck & keep us posted on any progress

thanks to all for the replies, today I jumped in and got around the block and the voltage reg. went, so sure, truck has been sitting for years, bound to happen, so I just installed a new one and a new alternator for $55 while I was at it. Was planning on scubbing down the iterior, hasn't been done since who knows when...then will take some more pictures, and sure a shot of the shifter boot as requested...need to get it cleaned up good for the appraisal so it can go under my classic insurance and I can haul my muscle cars around and my race car to the track...

Thanks, I am about to test fit my roadrunner, duster, charger and my lifted Toyota 4x4s, and putting on air bag kit i have with arb pump in the rear for added help if needed, I would like see if my Lamborghini kit car fits but I think the dove tail would lodge the under carriage, its low. Lol

i heard about this car hauler,i know a cpl ppl you know(denis,brent)that thing sure looks like it's in nice shape for around here,if you need any little parts for it let me know i'm getting rid of a 61 early next week

So I was looking for a set of camel bump heads that are meant for the 327 in the truck, and soon enough I found this engine...motor is a 4 bolt main 1970 350
 And it had camel bump heads on it...  Part number #3973370...no listing in the Chevy part numbers anywhere...read somewhere maybe marine 64cc heads from yacht or GM performance over the counter heads?  Was some porting done...
