Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.

More progress. Got a lot of dents out and smoothed out some rough areas.

Fauxtina idea! Just a spray over to get the feel for a fauxtina, totally doing it!

Polished passenger side

Unpolished driver

So there she is how she sits now.

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.

drop hangers and three leafs removed

tossed the bed on

cut a coil off. springs have 2 coils cut off (previos owner removed one, it hasnt touched the road since 94 judging by the 94 tabs and new 95 tab that came with it, so they were still pretty tall

taped the cab band on just for kicks

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.

12 hours of work and we might have gotten 4 hours of work done

time to patch up the other side. kinda tricky for people with no sheetmetal experience

and fill the fuel door

redid the drivers side. when the punch a hole for the fuel door it pushed the whole thing in so we cut a larger hole and patched it

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.

seattle being its stereotypical self

after the ferry ride and picking up the 250

on the way back and not going through seattle because it is home to the nastiest potholes i have ever seen adn with the engine in the bed im not far from hitting the frame

waiting for the other ferry and trying not to drop my camera in the water

on the ferry and getting ready to get off

got her home adn she bleading oil out the rear

thats water under the wrench from cyclinder 2

a little MMO to free up the pistons. i dont have pictures to show it but the cross hatching on the cylinders looks pretty fresh and the piston skirts loook almost new

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.

I was thinking about doing a custom exhaust with a 3inch single pipe coming out each side infront of the rear tires on my 80. I thought it would look cool with my 250 lol but I dont know yet. What are your plans with the inline?

Re: 1980 C-10 Low buck build.

i think we are just doing a single 2.5" coming out before the drivers side rear tire

the reason work has been slow lately
