What Muffler's Are You Running

I will be running a mild 260HP 350, and would like a little rumble, but don't want to wake the neighbours if I come home late...

I tried searching for previous threads, but searching "muffler" pretty much brought up every thread on the board...

So... if you want to weigh in with your opine, that would be great, or if you know of a thread that offers opinions on the subject, lemme know.

Thanks for listening

Thrush, their small, compact tuck them up high under bed, some what quiet, won`t get on your nerves on a long ride but still noticeable.

I use Cherry Bomb Turbo II's, 2-1/2" pipe. A tad noisy, but no where near as loud as others.

I went with Dynomax Super Turbos on my truck. Nice throaty sound at idle that only gets mildly louder as you get on the gas. I went with side exits behind the rear wheels.

I used Smithys on mine, after a few thousand miles they open up to a nice nostalgic bark but no rapping, nice and mellow.

Just put 3" Thrush welded mufflers on my truck. Sound pretty darn good for the price.

I have Flow 40 series that dump behind the rear wheels, sounds good, no annoying drone either.

Re: What Muffler's Are You Running

I have a pair of cheep flowprows with turn downs and the neighbors can feel me start up down the street. I think I will be switching to somthing less loud that comes out in front of the rear tire.
