The 67-72ChevyTrucks.com "National C10 Cruise In"
June 8th, 2013 - Mooresville, NC
http://www.C10CruiseIn.com Mooresville Motorplex OK . . . we are hosting all of our truck buddies from across the country for a C10 Cruise In. We've been talking about it for months, so here is the official thread. The Hot Rod Power Tour kicks off on June 1st in Arlington, TX and wraps up June 7th in Charlotte, NC. For all of the guys/gals who "Long Haul" (run the whole tour) there will be a short ceremony on the morning of June 8th. However, we figured ... why not have everybody get together before they head home? Even if you are not running the Power Tour (or if you dont even own a Chevy/GMC truck- yet). Join us for a very laid back cruise in. So, we are getting together. On June 8th, the National C10 Cruise in will be held at the Mooresville Motorplex in Mooresville, NC. The event will kick off around 9am and go until 2:00. In addition to showing off our rides, there will be vendors, reserved spaces for swap meet items, food, drinks, ice cream ... and of course, some of the coolest go-karting you can handle. Check out the facility at http://www.mooresvillemotorplex.com This is the spot where many of the NASCAR drivers hang out during the week. (of course, they'll be out of town that day) Afterwards, you can get on the road and head home, or a small group may cruise to the Kannapolis Cruise-In in Kannapolis, NC -30 minutes away (3:00-8:00pm) (typically a large crowd of classics from all makes/models) The event is open to any year Chevy/GMC truck, Blazer, Suburban's. But ... even if your truck is on jackstands in the garage, come out to put a face with the members of the forum. For more information on the Cruise In, visit http://www.c10cruisein.com There is a pre-registration form on this page if you would like to attend. This is a courtesy form so we can prepare the food vendors with a rough estimate on attendance. VENUE INFO Mooresville Motorplex 130 Motorplex Drive, Mooresville, NC 28115 (you may have to GPS - Mazeppa Rd Mooresville because their street is new) HOTEL INFO $89 rate - MUST BE BOOKED BY 5/15/13 to receive this rate. Townplace Suites by Marriott 139 Gateway Boulevard Mooresville, North Carolina 28117 USA Phone: 1-704-659-8600 The custom link to book the hotel room online and get our rate is http://cwp.marriott.com/clttm/c10tour/ MUST BE BOOKED BY 5/15/13 to get this rate. (The hotel is VERY nice-I've been there. You wont find a place this nice for $89.00) I know this is located in the Southeast, but lets keep this in General Discussion because we have folks coming from all over the US - (due to the Hot Rod Power Tour)

Just to be clear, ANYONE, truck or not can attend. I know what you mean but the wording could be taken as otherwise to some. We have that question with every event.

Thanks for getting this together. My hotel room is booked and barring no major problems during the Power Tour, I plan to be there on Saturday morning.

Anyway, I had to make a choice. I tried to fix the C10. It runs like it's not getting fuel. Replaced EVERYTHING fuel related, rebuilt the carb twice, I even completely swapped out the HEI, dizzy and all... and nada... runs the same. Two weekends of screwing with it I realized I had to get the mustang done instead. Engine is pulled apart for new timing set and seals. I also replaced the motor and trans mounts... the driver side mount fell apart when I took it out. The VA kit may not be working by the tour, but it should be back to drivable this weekend... (pan is coming off too for a new seal) (ooops... that got a little long...)

Sounds cool, but this is the first I've heard of it. Was this part of the power tour thread?

Re: The 67-72ChevyTrucks.com "National C10 Cruise In"
It's on my calendar...oh and the C10 won't be making it...but I'll definitely be bringing the K30, if you need any help gathering supplies, getting them to the Motorplex, etc let me know. That may be the weekend we are moving into our new house, if everything goes as planned, but there's no reason I can't take the morning/early afternoon off.

Thats too bad they didnt have a thread specific to that. I never even looked at the power tour thread, so I missed out. I would have loved to attend a board wide meet even if I would have had to have flown out. No way I can take the time off of work with such short notice. Take lots of pics =)

The admins haven't even said anything about it on any of the threads I have looked at. U would think they would be talking it up and trying to sell it to everyone to come. Don't know maybe it's me!

Re: The 67-72ChevyTrucks.com "National C10 Cruise In"
This is the t-shirt for the Cruise In event. It also piggybacks on the C10 Tour, which leads up to this event. Info on the front, sponsors on the back.
You can sign up for your size (so I know what to order) at http://www.customink.com/signup/38dp3l87 NOW... do not pay yet. My quote is $18 per shirt. AND... the deadline to specify a size is next Sunday If you have thoughts on the t-shirt (design, shirt color, etc...), let me know ASAP. I can still make some changes. After all, I am no graphic designer. Once I get the sizes, I will jump in and place the order. If you specify a size, then you are commiting to buy. I will add my PAYPAL info once I pay for the shirts.
