Didn't know they made the beds different down there. Is there a desire for them? I'll keep my eye open when I cross the boarder since I cross often. The tailgate is interesting also...

If you think that's cool... you would see what south american countries got!

Supposedly, this is a GM built 'burb in Argentina (noticed it's shortened with door curving around rear fender well to more Tahoe like dimensions).



And they have "avalanches" there too (looks to be using same shortened rear doors/frame as burbs)...

All those Mexican C/10s in 67-72 had 16" 6-lug wheels, shortbed, 67/68 hubcaps and steering wheel, 6cyl, and not sure on transmission if there were choices.

Huh, all I've seen were as I said. Never saw a 5-lug. I can't really tell in the pictures. Also never saw one that wasn't a base truck. I wonder how original that truck is. It's been painted with generic trim and Cheyenne emblems added

I took those pics about a year and a half ago at a customer site in MX. Funny thing is I was at that same customer yesterday and the truck was there again. I'm in a different city now so I'll try to get one of my guys to take some more pics.

I'm assuming the backup lights are built into the tail light lens? Taking another look I don't see a backup light. Hard to see it in the photos.

If you saw it, that's good enough for me. I might have remembered that part wrong or that truck was changed. I noticed that many features didn't change the same as they did in the US. Maybe that wasn't one of them after all.

Probably wasn't a requirement back then in Mexico. My 65 mustang doesn't have backup lights. I think they were optional until 1968 when side turn signals, seat belts, collapsible steering columns, locking seat latches, etc all became mandatory by the feds.

That's also some interesting 67-72 trivia. The 67's had a folding bench seat, but in 68-72 GM didn't want to spend $ on a new latch system to lock the folding seat, so they simply added a screw and made the seat frame rigid. The truck benches didn't fold again until 73 when the trucks & seats were redesigned.
