1965 Resurrection

Found a one owner 1965 long bed 1/2 ton just a few miles from me. It's a one owner truck bought for the farm in 65' I was fortunate to purchase it last summer.

Original motor was cracked. So I put in a 454 and th400.

Very Nice truck! The 454 looks right at home in there. What other kinds of plans do you have for it?

so far,
lowered 4/6 with springs and spindles
disc brakes from Early Classic
454 motor (adding Holley Sniper EFI)
TH 400 trans
one piece aluminum drive shaft
autometer gauges
champion radiator
wheelvintiques 15x7 15x8 wheels with 56' chevy caps

plan on making into short bed soon.

Disc brakes conversion from Early Classic. Yes, I kept it a 6 lug.

my favorite picture!
google street view of where truck lived for 50 years. it was parked in the same spot for 10 years because the block was cracked.
