67 C10 Aftermarket fender expierience

Hello Folks,

Looking for reviews from people on their purchase of aftermarket 67 chevy truck fenders. Are the goodmark fenders made in Taiwan ? Or are they just double the price for the name. I really prefer not to put made in taiwan sheet metal but mine is damaged in the front nose area , zero rust but I am afraid of how well it can be repaired. I am thinking better than Aftermarket still.......
What other brands have you used?

I'm not aware of any USA made fenders except for NOS. I think you would do better by posting photos of your fenders and ask about repairing them. Or visit whoever you let do your bodywork and get their opinion. Just about any kind of repair panel, bed parts and a lot of other parts will be from over seas. A large amount of these trucks are built with those parts. It is our only source and affordable way to keep them going.

You're in a great location to find a good original fender. Scour craigslist.

These are photos of the LMC fender the PO put on my Burban. If you are OK with the gaps and misalignment with the hood then go aftermarket. (I am okay with it as mine isn't a show truck) If I had needed to I would have found the best OE fender and repaired any rust on the fender rather than have to reshape the one I have.

Re: 67 C10 Aftermarket fender expierience

Excellent points and well taken. I am getting an NOS fleetside gate for $1100.

So I will buy NOS when available. Funny thing is I have a gate in the box and do not wanna use it so I am buying this other gate as it has no box but the witness mark from the original GM sticker is there so thats how I know its original. Also its heavy !

Here is the worst of my fender. My fenders have absolutely zero rust !

Yeah I agree but I'm picky as hell so aftermarket is out . However I hope I find the right body man as every time I have those kind of spots repaired I notice the flaws in body lines right away.

That is a easy fix. I have saved fenders really bad before and in the end turned out great , not like those poor fitting aftermarket panels.

Most of that can be easily dollied out. Worst case, can be stud welded and pull out. There is no way I would be looking for fenders if those are rust free.

Beautiful truck! I love it as is. Even with the "beauty marks."

Most of the Patina was faked by previous owner with paint LOL! The real patina is on the doors and roof as red primer while the hood fenders and tailgate have black hinted into it. The firewall still has the chalk from inspectors.

That's a perfect job for a stud gun, I don't even think that would take long. I would Save that fender over buying a reproduction
