I do need a front bumper, but even though my truck is a '72, I'll actually be looking for a good deal on a '67-70 front bump. I just really like the '69 & '70 grille style.

every time I see this picture I think that this is definitely one of my favorite trucks posted on here.

Would you post a pic or two of the interior?

No...you don't need no stinking bumper...:lol: but seriously, if you do go bumper-less you have to cut the front of your frame off.

Thank you....I found a mechanic on the internet who went and inspected the truck for me and took some pics. He told me it was in good shape with some minor paint issues. He said it was a nice truck over all and that if he had the money he would buy it for sure. He had a 74 fleetside himself. The truck is South East of Sacramento in the Sierra Mountain area. It is being relocated to a dealers warehouse in Stockton, Ca to make it easier for transport pickup. I finally got it assigned to a Hard enclosed trailer today for its journey across the country to South Florida by next Friday or Saturday. Cant wait to get my hands on it and see it in my garage!

No....I'm eventually going with a smooth pan with license box. I like the MAR-K unit ...you can either bolt or weld it in. Since I'm not a welder...I'll be boltin

First thing I am doing is taking the bumper off when the truck gets here. I have to so it will fit in my garage properly. The truck is a little long for the space I have available in my garage. Without the bumper there should be no issue. I was planning on going with a pan anyways.

For the guys who drop their stepsides;
How did you get the rear wheels to center in the step fenders?
The lower I go, the farther back in the wheel well my wheels go.
I've pulled my bed back as far as it will go, but the wheels still don't look centered.

Thanx in advance.
Dano

I know if you go with a 4 link rear suspension there is additional holes to move your rearend to center it in the wheel well. If you dont use 4 link then I guess you have to mod it. Not sure.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

I bought mine lowered in the rear with 4" blocks, the wheels looked centered then. I change out the 4" block for 1.5" blocks and added 4" lowering springs. Down 5.5" and rear wheels still look centered. Not sure what's going on with your truck. Is it happening on both sides?
Now if your talking about the axle staying centered from side to side, if you go lower than 4" you have to install an extended panbar.
