Cool setup. This trucks getting better & better, but I gotta ask... a 3.00 gear with that 8 speed automatic and 28-1/2’ish tire seems a bit high. My calculations puts that beast at 87 mph in 8th turning 2000 rpm?

It’s about managing low gear. First gear is a 4.56 ratio, it’s really tough to leave a stop sign/light without giving it too much juice, the 3.00 will calm that down. Our ZL1 has a 2.77 read gear.

^^^ Gotcha! I knew it had a crazy 1st gear.

Great looking truck. So cool this site was a big part of its origin.

Looks great Buck. I'm building a 67 short fleet now. 6.0 / 4l80. I'll be doing a similar color combo on it. Your truck is definitely inspiring.
