if anyone has a quad, dirtbike, motorcycle, sea-doo or other powersport toy, Yuasa battery's are made in the US.
and well made at that. this is the orig battery from my wife's '07 suzuki atv. never un-hooked it ever, never put it on a charger, for FOURTEEN yrs this thing would crank her quad over without fail...until this yr. Didn't have enough juice to kick it over, put it on the charger and it then fired, but would not hold a charge. let me say that again, FOURTEEN yrs...never seen any kind of battery offer up that kind of service.
needless to say i bought her another Yuasa battery, also bought a new one for the kid's Arctic cat quad as it came wit some cheapy off brand one.
wife's old battery. note the manufactor date, '07

and a couple of new Yuasa's

I believe Harley 'labeled' batteries have been Yuasa for a long time. That's about the only thing I go to the dealer for anymore.

I picked up some more hand tools for my tool tote. All made in USA. I got a set of 6 Irwin drift punches, Channel-Lock 6" needle noses, and an Estwing crow bar.

My USA made, 18 year old patio furniture was worn out and ripped. Rather than buy disposable Walmart junk that would last about a year here, I looked into buying new slings. The frames were weathered, but solid and no need to throw them out. The set was big $$$ when I bought it new, and now runs almost double  Wife found a company that stitches up new slings in the correct fabric, just take measurements off the old and they replicate them. They sent the new material along with fresh spline. I used a torch to burn out the old stuff as it was in there solid  Wire brushed the frames, along with a fresh coat of Rustoleum hammered finish paint and they are brand new again and should go another 18 years. A little work and less than 1/4 the cost of new for quality that will last :)

Cool move. Chevy trucks aren't the only thing worth restoring for further use. There's buy American, but there is also stay American. Keep that good stuff alive!

Does anyone here know anything about Patton fans? They have been my fan of choice for many years. My most recent purchase five or so years ago. I want to get a couple fans and all my searches either turn up out of stock results I think are old or offerings on Ebay, Etsy, etc. It appears they are history but does anyone know for sure?

Battery disconnect for longer term storage of 6V or 12V systems. Can serve as an anti-theft device if the knob is removed.

Very nice. I'll have to get a couple. I'm getting tired of dead batteries from my cars sitting.

Guy I work with just redid the bathroom in his shop. Pulled out the old heavy metal sink and put something new in (not sure what he used). Anyway he went to load his truck for a dump run and put the sink in upside down. On the bottom it said Made In The United States Of America. Not just made in the USA. He pulled it out of his truck, it was killing him to toss it, ex Marine. In the end he just had no need for it and ended up taking to the recycle place. He told the fella there about it ... guy pulled it out for himself.

I ran across these coins a few weeks ago and ordered one for each of my kids, myself, and a buddy of mine. If it had only been the message but made in China I probably would not have purchased. Not cheap, but I believe in supporting American workers even if it costs me a little more.

I will gladly pay more for American products and support local businesses.

That's what I have said all along. I saw this coming and for what little people were saving it didn't seem it had to happen. First made in Japan and now China, as well as other far-off lands that were never industrial.

I needed cereal bowls for my oatmeal. At Walmart I found two choices that fit my needs. One was ceramic and the other was cobalt blue glass. I liked the look of the glass one plus it was a chipped ceramic bowl that had me needing new bowls. I look on the bottoms, ceramic $1.50 made in China, glass $1.00 made in USA (Pyrex). There's no doubt what I bought, right? But what's wrong with this picture here? China crap for 50% more than long time brand name made in USA oven-safe Pyrex. I'd like to find this type of option more often when buying goods.

Bummer. I tried a local welding store first without luck. Had to order those in the photo. Worked real well. I’m pleased.

I have that on my extension ladder at my cabin. It works great, especially since I hate heights....
