I posted a question in the regular forum on this. Apparently it's cause it's a 3/4 ton master cylinder. I guess on the 3/4 ton the line locations are swapped around. So I'll be getting a new MC.

So after 2 1/2 months I finally got some pictures of the progress the paint guy has made. Not very much in my opinion. It sounds like he's hitting it hard now, so hopefully the progress will pick up.

Are you going to paint it that dark/gunmetal gray you showed in a post way earlier? It's going to look sick!

yeah, it called "Blue Granite Metallic" or "Stealth Grey Metallic" depending if you're talking GMC or Chevy

NICE!!! I'm thinking of painting mine that same color and that looks sharp! Glad to see some paint was finally laid down. When are the cab and front clip being done?

I'll keep that in mind, but I'm thinking it won't be on the road by late august.

damn!! what an awesome thread!! took most of the day reading but worth every minute!! hell of a job man!! im always on the square side but ive been searching for info on the 5.3 swap and pleasantly stumbled on your build. defiantly one of the best (pics, details, info, trial and error, thoroughness, and start to almost finished!) build threads ive read. its funny how similar our builds start out! cant wait for the next update. Re: Ackattack's Pro touring restoration thread

This is a sweet build, I have read it pretty extensively. I love the idea of the fuel injection engine in a classic like yours. You probably already said earlier,I probably just missed it. How are you integrating the new wiring with the old? I have heard the aftermarket harness is really expensive. Are you using the whole OEM engine harness as well as the truck/car harness and fuse boxes?

The paint looks good! Haven't seen that color much. I'm not a pro paint and body guy but I forced myself to learn after my first truck I did was held in "paint prison" for too long. With the skills you got....you can do paint. Oh well maybe on your next build.

Re: Ackattack's Pro touring restoration thread

thanks for all of the kind words guys!

2 weekends ago I made a trip down to take a look at the progress. They were getting pretty close to being ready to shoot the cab. The doors were pretty much ready as well as the front fenders. I have been busy (hince why it's taken me two weeks to post this) so I haven't gotten back with my painter to see if they did get them shot. Here's a few pics from the trip:

Also, I got a "new" truck, a 69 GMC called Project No-buck :D since all my money is going to the 68
