Re: Project: Blank Slate
Not a problem Rod, that's what this thread was done for. Question... did you decide to grind on the a-arms?

Re: Project: Blank Slate
Since we removed portions of the lower a-arm, I haven't experienced any rubbing issues with neither the 15x7's nor the 15x8's. Happy grinding! :D

Here's some updated shots of the '69 I took a week or so ago.
My little buddy and I decided to get the truck out one of the last few times for the '09 year. So we headed down to the river front in the capitol city for a few shots. Enjoy! Attachment 508491 Attachment 508492 Attachment 508493 Attachment 508495 Attachment 508496 |

Re: Project: Blank Slate
Next time you're in the area, or if I'm in KS, I'll take you for a spin and let you stick your head out the window.
Let me know I'm always ready for a drive. Talk about a luck dog, you're ended up with the banner from the Nat's... one year. :D |

Re: Project: Blank Slate
Nate - I just read through 14 pages, and loved every minute of it! Thanks for documenting it all - That is one sweet "Blank Slate"!
Lolife - I love the grinding on the lower A-arms, just wish I would have read the thread before I painted and installed mine on Project C.S.T. Nothing an afternoon in the shop and a 6-pack can't handle!;) |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
Thanks theCheyenneShop! It's a labor of love as you know, but worth every minute, dollar, and skinned up knuckle.
Keep checking back as there will be more updates in the future... :D |

How does it ride after the upgrade? I like the way it looks!

Currently I'm running without bumpstops on the rear of the truck and have only bottomed out once. That being said, when I bottomed out it was at the end of a bridge (on the dual dual), with a dip at the end, and I was pushing the truck pretty hard. The ride quality is just as good as it was before I lowered, and now the truck has more of an aggressive stance, with more of an attitude. :D |
