Click on the pictures and it will take you to my webshots albums. Yes the doors are suicide with a b pillar and this project is not for the faint of heart. Nothing was straight forward. The roof is off an panel that has shortened to fit. Should have more pictures up on the webshots in a couple weeks. Getting ready to do the body work now.

1951 4400 loadmaster. My son has been calling it Big Daddy. So I guess that is it's new Name. lol It didnt come with a flat bed so i built one. Im not sure how big the original ones were but this one is 8ft wide by 10ft long. I might have to slim it down to 6ft. I have rebuilt the wheel cylinders and sanded down and bondo the bolt ups for the fenders on the cab. i also sprayed on a rubber undercoating on the bolt ups also, the pic is the finish product just one while doing the work i had to primer it early because it was bout to rain. then i sanded back off. i am working on sanding down the inner fenders and primering them. As the doghouse was already taken apart when i got it. i also sand down the seat frame and primered it and re-installed it. It runs and drives. Thats about it for now.

I am a newbie here. Enjoyed looking at all the projects. Mine can be seen at http://www.pbase.com/patrickth/truck_project

Red is the project 1950 that was done in 1973 with a Pontiac 1973 Bonneville 250 c.i engine, custom drive shaft, both from the Station Wagon, TH350 Transmission, Pinto shifter, Nash Air conditioning.
The green truck is parts, just located this week.

Nice project.
my second choice is a 1950 (5) window, maybe some day I will get to restore one after my 55 Chevy is done.

Thanks
I have to do a serious audit on the 49' 5 window. Its complete, with a whole bed full of extra parts, but no title and some metal fatigue it looks like without going to bare metal to take a look.

Re: Show us your projects

I had the same problem with my 55 as you can see from all my post, its ruff but
when you start taking it down to bare metal it reviles a lot. but once you get all the rust off it will look different, I remember just cleaning my truck made all the difference.
great looking truck.

The best part of mine, it had an emron paint job done right with acid etch and sealer. So it will clean up nice, even though it has sat outide for years.

I am not expecting a cakewalk though.
