I might actually try to get their early myself. Do you know if the c/10 club will have a little area there like Rene's spot or something?

Sorry Dylan I missed this. Yes there will be a C/10 Club spot out there. You'll see Rene and the crew out by the edge where the payed parking is or the gun/golf club? I can't remember but you'll see them out there :D

Re: 1972 Chevy p/u NewType Build

No pictures just yet but a little birdy just told me my grille shell is finished and that I can pick it up tonight or tmrw morning at the swap meet here in Turdlock :metal: so all ill need to do Is paint the inner grill over (same silver i use on my bed strips) and get to installing as far as that goes.

Also went ahead last night and replaced my turn/tails and park lifts with 2057LL's fit perfect and are super bright for me but the better thin is they are now making my turn signals actually function  also I put 168's in my speedometer gauge on my dash just to try out and boy what a difference in light I can see the whole cluster a lot better so ill save up a few and swap out more should be all lit up after this weekend.

Progress is unknown on the tailgate but I should have it with my dad for bodywork by Sunday so fingers crossed there

Absolutely not since I haven't even had a working dome light in a full year to having that and courtesy lights along with a brighter dash I must be spoiling myself lmao

Just a tick or so

Anywho Saturday went pretty well I was able to pick up my newly polished grille and some insignificant parts for my column the dress it up like a new pointer and lens and oh turn signal lever I don't need that silly thing. scored some headliner and paint divider trim as well!! might be doing a headliner in this beauty within the next two weeks. :metal:

Also was able to give my tailgate expert some sheetmetal sheered to size to start stitch welding the new piece to the face of the gate got some pics of that as well.

Starting to switch over most of my worn out bulbs with new 168's in the cluster because I found that they ARE in fact brighter and wont burn up anything so I'll grab some night time pics tonight.

Welding was finished last night turned out very smooth so I'm told and bodywork has already begun tonight so here is my latest picture of the gate as far as I know I won't have another picture till after the first round of primer is on but from the sounds of things not much "mud" has been applied so far.

Been trying to research tailgate trim and tail light bezel placement holes for fitment and what not sounds like I'll need a factory assembly manual to help there my research hasn't given me many results so far with that portion any ideas or directions here?

Also should have the inner grille painted sometime this week I went ahead and roughed down the plastic last night so it's ready to get a couple coats of my one of a kind metallic silver can't wait to put the whole assembly together I'll be working on getting the outer grille all together with the newly powder coated side brackets pop rivets are fun :uhmk:

Looks good, the first guide coat of primer will tell you a lot.

I've always been excited about paint on these trucks after all these mischevious curves and boy I can't wait for my tailgate to finally be done :)

Thinking about buying a factory assembly manual good or bad choice?
