Re: Project: Blank Slate
Nate, I'm dying to see your new plates, but for some reason for the last couple of weeks your pics won't show up on our computer???
I've had the same plate issues, I ran without a front plate on my truck for a couple years until I got my '72 plates and never got pulled over. A few years ago I had a hammered bright red '99 Sonoma without a front plate (because I didn't want to drill holes) and I got pulled over all the time for it. It also chapped the police that the rear plate was in the back window, it had a smooth roll pan.:D |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
Bummer Chris... I'm not sure if I'm doing something different. I don't believe I am, but I'll look into it. My camera settings are the same as they were, and I'm loading the pics up to the board from the 'advanced' side of my posts.
I can understand why the LEO's want to see the plates, but... ;) |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
I can still see your pics Nate.
Do you use Photobucket? My work blocks Photobucket,... so I miss alot of pics when I'm on the board at work. Chris,... maybe your internet provider has some type of new filter. |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
Nope, not using Photobucket, just uploading the pics to the site. I was wondering if his IP had changed; I have the same issue viewing pics uploaded to photobucket at work as well.

Re: Project: Blank Slate
I don't know what the deal is, it's just Nate's pics and a select few others. I can see Photobucket pics just fine. Nates pics come up as a question mark, and come to think of it, so do all the smiley faces??? I'll have to ask the wife, she's WAY more computer literate than I am.
Sorry Nate, I don't mean to get off course on your thread. |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
Powell are you on dial up? If so, do you have an accelerator program? If you use one, left click onto pic, scroll to; refresh page to full image quality. Just a stab in the dark.;)
Nate, I wanted to photochop it with your color, I ran out of time...I ran that tag on a sweet 70's muscle car I once had, never once was pulled over for it, other infractions maybe;), but not for my tag. And yes, I am SPOILED... |

Nate, I"m diggin' the new plate, can't wait to see what you come up with for the front. BTW, I'm assuming that's your wife's Trailblazer in the garage, which is funny, because it looks just like my garage, a shorty with a 4/6 and the wife's Trailblazer next to it.:D |

Well guys, this has been a long time coming....
Thanks to a few good men (they know who they are), a local tire shop, and most importantly, a very understanding and loving wife, we were able to turn my dream into a reality. Back in January of '09 I bought a clean '69 C/10 that looked like this: Attachment 567805 Then with the help of lolife99, during August '09 we were able to drop the truck using fantastic products offered by ECE. We ended up installing a 4.5/6" drop with 6-lug disc brake upgrade. Attachment 567806 After a ton of deliberation, pm's, phone calls, and all-out ulcers (mostly felt by me ), we finally pulled the trigger and the rest is history. Attachment 567811 |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
Here's a break down of the pictures above:
Before the drop: Driver's Side Front: 33 1/2" Driver's Side Rear: 33" Passenger Side Front: 33 1/4" Passenger Side Rear: 32 7/8" After the drop: Driver's Side Front: 28" Driver's Side Rear: 29" Passenger Side Front: 28 1/4" Passenger Side Rear: 28 3/4" After the new wheels (4/3/10): Driver's Side Front: 28 7/16"" Driver's Side Rear: 29 5/16" Passenger Side Front: 28 1/2" Passenger Side Rear: 29 5/16" These measurements were taken on our driveway which might not be 100% level, but far better than the garage floor. |

Re: Project: Blank Slate
It just gets better and better! Great job Nate! The important question is, "do you like it?".
|
Re: Project: Blank Slate
I couldn't be happier... I haven't stopped grinning since. :D
We took it for a spin today and the ride was just as good as before. I was a little concerned with the sidewall difference, but after backing out the driveway, all my reservations went away. Even my FIL, with a bad back, couldn't believe it. |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
Looks sweet! :metal:
You better give out the wheel and tire specs,... people will want to know. |
Re: Project: Blank Slate
Yeah man. Let the cat out of the bag. They are some nice looking wheels. They are 6-lug right?
|
Re: Project: Blank Slate
