Re: I can't believe it!
That formation is not on my frame, which is factory V-8. Bet that's the trouble.
After a more careful look, my frame is indeed shaped like that. Which makes sense, GM hopefully didn't make too many different frames. |

In the past my local shop let me go in the back and match up brake lines and hoses. If your shop won't escort you to the back, maybe you could have them bring out a few of the Dakota V8 lower hoses suggested by twoskies. I was curious, so I grabbed these numbers for V8 Dakota hoses: 89-91 5.2L V8: Gates 20145 (1.75" ID) 92-96 5.2L V8: Gates 21956 (1.75" ID) 97-99 5.2L V8: Gates 22287 (1.72" ID) 00-04 4.7L V8: Gates 22250 (1.72" ID) 00-03 5.9L V8: Gates 22251 (1.72" ID) They all appear to have the same diameter on both ends. Of course it's hard to match up based on pics, but one of those might do the trick (22250, 22251 & 22287 below). I hope you don't mind the info - it's an interesting problem (and probably a frustrating one for you!) With a lot of long water pump setups on C10s out there, someone in the future will benefit from your work. I hope you figure it out! |
