I have a '07 3SS 2 wheel drive bone stock with less then 20k miles. I also have a '70 CST-10 SWB. Maybe some day I will do a LSX swap but right now have no plans on doing so.

We've got a 2006 3SS AWD, just bought it a month ago just turned 50k. Sure is an amazing SUV and its in great shape. Bought an extra set of new OEM 20" wheels for it for the summer and the original OEM 20's for winter wheels with Blizzak tires.
Its got these crappy normal trailblazer wheels on it right now and they look really bad. The OEM 20's should be mounted up very soon.

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

So now you have an SSS and a TBSS? I'm guessing good AWD's are pretty popular up there. I know when I was with denalitrucks we had a bunch of Sierra Denali's with AWD and AWS, along with C3's and Yukon Denali's...though the SUV's lost the awesome NVG-149 AWD system in '03 or '04 I think.

BTW...your TBSS looks like its lowered an inch or so?

AWD's and 4x4's are definitely popular up here thats about all thats on the road 90% of the time during the winter lol. So you think the TBSS is lowered a bit? I know it has rear air suspension, but I haven't really looked at it too close I just though they sat low like that stock. Maybe it is lowered who knows  I'm just used to my SSS which I lowered 2/2 with shackles in the rear and torsion bars in the front. The new OEM wheels came in and wow do they look nice! Just need to get them mounted.

we're just 3 payments away from owning ours....and when the wife gets something new, the SS is mine. Then I'll have two trucks begging for every extra nickle!

have you had it since new? How's it run with 8 lbs of boost? How's the spool up/lag?
I've been planning on boosting mine but unsure...been planning on a TVS in the next year or so.

No, I bought it last June with only 17K miles showing. I traded in my beloved 99 CC Dually (454, 4L80E with 75K miles, see pics). :thud: That was hard to do but I have been looking a long time for a nice TBSS. I spotted this SS on the internet at the local Toyota Dealership while searching for one locally. Saw the boost gauge installed in the dash and knew I had to take a closer look. The STS system was a bonus, I don't think they realized what they had or did and it made them nervous. So I was glad to take it off their hands.

It run's great I love it. Just plants you in the seat. Everyone that goes for a ride gives you the OMG smile! :metal:

Unless you are on the freeway you must turn off the traction control when you are going to play. If not it will fall on its face and let out a big fart from the pressure relief valve.

It builds boost very quickly and is a riot to drive!

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

yeah....I can see the traction control becoming an issue!

what did you go and get rid of it for?

Re: TrailBlazer SS owners?

Found out right before we sold it that at some point it had nitrous on it. It was killing us on fuel cost. I guess they had a tune installed that they didn't take out. The best we got was 17mpg. We didn't buy it for the gas mileage, but when the best you can get is 17mpg, and where we were averaging on my wife driving it to work was about 10mpg. It had to go. However, my wife informed me the other day that after we pay off our Mustang GT that we will be looking to acquire another SS for another vehicle. :D
