For the love of god please tell me you'll change the bumpers too and not leave them on there with the impact strips when the side strips are pulled. It looks so tacky to everyone I've ever talked to. On that note, you have the very special red impact strips that were sport truck only and match the paint job. I'd consider leaving them.

Hey Robbie- I hear what Tom's saying. The bumpers would look silly if you only removed the side molding, making it an all or nothing kind of deal. Can you remove the bumper trim or would that leave mounting holes?

I like a clean truck, so I'd remove all the molding if that's practical. If it gets too expensive or involved, what you already have looks nice and it might be wise to leave well enough alone.

Now that I've talked myself in a circle, I'm just gonna sit back and wait to see what you do. :lol:

according to his post, he is just removing the wheel well molding. the stuff screwed to the arches.

It's a new thing, but as most things with me, I'm bitten by the bug.

The moldings are yours, no charge. You've helped me out a ton in the past and I appreciate your friendship.

I'm only removing the pinstripe on the upper part of the truck and the wheel well moldings, not the lower moldings with the red stripe that are unique to the sport trucks.

Please be real careful on that Bike ,I have already lost one friend on his Harley a few years ago ,cant stand to lose another one .

Will do, John. I hate to hear that about your friend. I understand the risk and am taking all the necessary precautions so that I can be as safe as possible and know how to look for trouble on the road (with road conditions and other drivers). It'a really a lot of fun and a feeling I've never experienced before so I'm really enjoying it.

So it's been like ten posts since you mentioned the motorcycle and still no pictures? I've had a few over the years. Current bike is 200cc worth of bad ass Honda. Oh, and keep the rubber side down! Somehow you become invisible as soon as you throw your leg over a motorcycle.

Good point. Ha! Mine is a Honda Shadow 600 VLX bobber project. Currently waiting on a rear fender and then it gets paint and some powdercoating - particularly the wheels. It's a fun bike to learn to ride and wrench on.

Looks cool! Is that a hard tail or does it have suspension like a Softail?

Thanks, man. I'm really diggin' it. Really a great bike to learn to ride on and still feel like it's different from the others on the road. I'll post up some progress pics once i get the paint and powdercoat work done.

Exactly! It's amazing how your mindset changes when on the road on two wheels. I've never been so observant going through an intersection as I am now.

Thank you. It's an older neighborhood tucked back into a residential area off the Marietta Square. A lot of old hardwoods and azaleas around.

The bike is actually a softtail but the swingarm is rigid. It has a mono shock under the seat. That's one reason these bikes are really popular to bob out. Rides as good as a bike with a solo springer seat could I imagine.

Hell yes Honda. Not into the slow types but its still a honda so its sweet. I have a 600F4i with 77,000 miles that I've owned since new and a 600RR trackbike. Now put the bike in the back of the truck and take more pics to show us!

Nice truck! I just went from my 66 c10 to a 93 GMC RCSB. Really like these trucks. Wish mine had a 5 spd like yours. I bet you do love driving that thing!

That is definitely Oaky! The new owner has already put in a new 350 with all new dual exhaust run. Apparently it runs really well. Last I heard he was thinking about moving it on but he couldn't decide. He's up near Huntsville.
