Thanks lks dcvn! I just got that plate yesterday! Hopefully get it in this weekend! Still waiting on SKC to get the full floor pan for a blazer! If they don't have soon I will attempt to use the truck floor pan and cut it! |
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
i would just go ahead with modifying a truck floor, i waited quite some time for the blazer floor and wish i would have just modified the truck floor a lot sooner. just my 2 pennies

Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
:agree: - If I had waited for parts that were pending - I would still be waiting on a few.

Getting started on the firewall now! Ordered a new truck floor and will start the process of fitting things together!
|
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
Ok! So I was going to order the truck floor and Southern Kentucky Classics say they have the blazer floors coming in next week and are going to ship it to me! I will post pic's of it when I get it!
|
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
I will have to remember to check back in and see how it is
|
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
Cool - that could save some serious time! Would really like to see pix as well when you have it and time to post.

Took out of box and laid on frame but did not have time to mess with it at the moment! Going to work on some this week! But doesn't look bad!
|
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
That's pretty cool - can you take a few close up shots of where the floor meets the step up? Also all holes are present for bucket seats and passenger floor latch?
This really makes rebuilding these trucks even easier now... |
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
I might have to get me one of those, I will continue to check for updates on how it is working for you

OK! I have a few pictures of the floor close up and the bolt holes for the seats! It says the floor is for bucket seats but they forgot to weld the fasteners to the floor on the passenger side where the seat latches to the floor(Not to big of a deal). The support brackets may need a little adjustment(L-bracket in picture) but overall the floor fits quite well! Going to work on it again tonight and weekend and will send more photo's.

Yes! Floor fits good but when I was test fitting I noticed that that the notch in the firewall was not notched on the new floor so will need to adjust to make fit very well. Not sure on why these turn but will figure it out.

Starting the fitting of the panels!
|
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
Looking nice. Makes me want to just buy all new metal.
|
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
That was quick! Looks great - any concerns now that you have the majority of the panels installed?
Did you end up getting new doors as well? |
Re: 1972 Blazer undecided!!
I think everything is coming together good . I have a set of factory doors off a truck that I am going to cut and try.
