Wow ! there seem to be a lot of very good metal fabricators on this site, and here is another one.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it is a pleasure to see such great workmanship, stay with the project, and keep the pics coming |

Did a couple of things today. I cut down the tubs and welded them in. I cut them down to two inches instead of 3 1/2. This will allow me to keep the stock bed wood. I also installed the hidden latches. Now I’m going to fix the bed ends so the match up with the front panel and tailgate.

Decided to weld in the holes from the chai patch on the tailgate today. Took a little time but I think it came out ok. I will put seam sealer all the way around the the tailgate before paint to give it a cleaner look. Here is a pick of my tailgate from my 62 with it all sealed around the inner edges.

Didn’t do much today. Cut out the step pad and smoothed it out. Hopefully I can get to the other side tomorrow.

Nice work. You’re a great fabricatior. I like your tail lights so much I’m going the same way. I was trying to figure out what to do and really like the look.

Short fab day today. All I got done is the drivers side step. Maybe next week I can finish the front bed rails and move the Right side bed rail up a little. Then the bed mods are done.

Another short fab day. I cut the Altman latches and grafted the into the door panels. I did the passenger side but it’s binding when I’m putting it back on. So I guess tomorrow I’ll figure it out. I had to move one of the mounting hole on the panel. Aftermarket doors are not tru to specs.

Did a little more work last weekend and today. I put epoxy on all my blasted parts. Today I moved the front fender seams so they lined up with the hood. I also moved the passenger fender gap and lowered the height to match the hood. I still have to move the front part of the fender because the hood is to high. I added rod to the drivers hood and cowel to get the lines better I still have to Finish Grind to make it smooth.
